Multi-use Land Planning - Tsawout First Nation, Victoria, BC– 2013-2014: Retained to coordinate the feasibility, technical studies and master site planning for a 250 acre multi-use parcel of land for the Tsawout First Nation.
Economic Development Initiatives, Piikani Nation, Pincher Creek, AB – 2015-2016: Retained to provide negotiations for a large metallurgical coal mine and management of economic development initiatives.
Economic Development Initiatives and Major Bridge Fund Raising, Penticton Indian Band, Penticton, BC – 2013-2014: Successfully facilitated the business case and financial packaging for a $9 million bridge project for the Penticton First Nation. Coordinated the master site planning for a 150 acre development site.
Tourism Centre - Aboriginal Tourism BC, Vancouver, BC – 2013: On behalf of Aboriginal Tourism BC undertook the Business Case for a $20 million cultural, arts and business centre.
Business Park - Osoyoos Indian Band, Oliver, BC – 2006-2012: Project consulting for the planning and development of the 110 acre Senkulmen Business Park, an eco-industrial park at the north end of the Osoyoos Indian Band reserve. The business park includes district heat utilizing geothermal technology and state-of-the-art technology for the water and waste systems.
Okanagan Correction Centre - Osoyoos Indian Band, Oliver, BC
Preparation of the OIB business case for the new BC Correction Centre to be located on reserve lands. The newly opened $250 million centre created 300+ jobs and significant band revenue.
Intrepretive Centre Business Planning and Fund Raising, Skidegate Band, Haida Gwaii, BC – 2003-2006: - Business planning and fund raising for a 26 million dollar Haida Heritage Centre on the BC coast. The project, underway prior to Land Strategies involvement, focused upon fundraising strategies and creating sustainability for operations.
Resort Pre-development Coordination, Ktunaxa Tribal Council, Cranbrook, BC –1992-96: Initial project planning coordinator for a $30 million multifaceted development including a Resort Hotel & 18 Hole Golf Course on the historic St. Eugene residential school lands.
Simon Fraser University - First Peoples House, Burnaby, BC – 2012: Market Financial Feasibility and Concept Planning for SFU Aboriginal Community.
Utility Pole Plant, Skidegate Band - Haida Gwaii, BC – 20011-2012: Project coordination for the development of wood value-adding enterprises. This includes the successful establishment of a utility pole plant which opened in early 2012 as a joint venture between Skidegate Band and a Haida Nation subsidiary. Coordinated feasibility and master site planning for a business park. Undertook a 5 year Economic Development Plan.
Four Host Nations Commercial Centre, Vancouver, BC – 2009- 2010: Feasibility and concept planning for the Vancouver Olympics Four Host Nations Commercial Centre.
Nk'Mip Resort, Osoyoos Indian Band, Osoyoos, BC – 2000-2007: Project co-ordination pre-development tasks, including market / financial research and fund-raising for the Osoyoos Indian Band’s 1,200 acre Nk’Mip Project incorporating an RV Park, Eco-Tourism/Cultural Interpretive Centre with park lands, Hotel, Golf Course, Winery and supporting Infrastructure. Facilitated the new School of Community Entrepreneurship for the Osoyoos Indian Band.
Interpretive Centre and Historic Mine Restoration - Upper Similkameen Indian Band – 2001- 2009: Planning coordination for the Mascot Mine Interpretive Centre and supporting commercial enterprises.
Community Needs Evaluation, Fox Creek Operators Group (Encana, Chevron, Shell and other energy companies consortium), Fox Creek, AB – 2014-2015: Retained by energy consortium to recommend a strategy for meeting Fox Creek community investment needs.
